A little while ago, Mom and I took a jaunt over to London where we had a whirlwind 48hours and goodness me did we pack it full! I can’t wait to share it all with you, but first up, I just have to do a room tour with you.
We stayed in the luxurious 5 star Claridges Hotel. We were guests here once before for my London hen (see parts one, two and three) and had such a gorgeous time that when we were planning this trip, there was no where else we’d rather have stayed! Our suite was beautiful, with it’s very own entryway because POSH!
Walk in wardrobe (yes we did unpack completely, don’t worry, we may not have filled them but they certainly didn’t go to waste!)
and next to that, our ensuite. A stunning marble and white bathroom which was just beYOND!
and if that view doesn’t sell you on it – there was underfloor heating y’all!!
Little Claridge’s treats were dotted around for our use during our stay
and whilst I wouldn’t normally be a fan of the toiletries left in hotel bathrooms,
These ones were lovely and smelt divine!
That rain water shower was bliss in the morning and after a day stomping around London, I sank into a much needed soak in the tub.
All the towels were embossed with Claridges famous logo in gold which upped the luxury scale to no end!
Back in the main room, there was a vanity unit
and a large TV that got completely ignored for the duration of our stay!
The bed situation included two, very roomy single beds with an ottoman at the foot of both for suitcases (although….did they not see the size of the wardrobe??!)
Upon arrival we enjoyed chocolate dipped strawberries
and a bottle of perfectly chilled champagne – just how every midweek visit to London should start, am I right!?!
After a little rest, we headed downstairs to the lobby where I enjoyed major flashbacks of my hen and having the entire foyer to myself with two of my best chums (go on, have a goo)
We settled in for an early lunch (did I mention our flight was at ridiculous o’clock!?!) but more on this next time – spoiler alert – the food was INCREDIBLE!
This hotel looks absolutely gorgeous! I love the traditional look about it!
