Hello lovely humans!! I hope this post finds you all happy, healthy and full of Christmas joy! I was treated to some truly beautiful gifts this year and I wanted to share them with you today. I know there has been some controversy with other bloggers in the past (people accusing them of showing off etc…), so before I begin I want to make a few things clear. 1.) I’m writing a post like this because I love reading them when others post them 2.) None of these were gifted by brands, they all legitimately came from my gorgeous Family and Friends 3.) I’m hoping you might see something you’d love to get your paws on and by seeing it here, you might be able to snap it up at a January sale price!
My wonderful Himself has watched me battle houseplants since we moved into our new home, lets just say – your girl wasn’t blessed with a green thumb – but I’m getting better! So for Christmas Himself got me two beautiful plants (in gorgeous pots) from our local garden centre where he actually got information from those who work there on how to make these babies thrive!
He picked up a “sansevieria” which needs water once a week (delightful!) and light – but it does very well in low light too. I’m pretty sure he went into the garden centre and said “give me things that cannot die please!”
The other is a “Peace Lily”, again, she’s a low maintenance woman and is a hard worker too as she purifies the air – so good of her!! I adore them and am delighted I’ve made it four days and they are still going strong (no…like literally…one died after three days, although it was bought from Aldi and came with zero maintenance instructions…I didn’t even know what it was called!!)
My folks went all out on those “slightly out of reach” beauty products – the ones I’ve been banging on about for so long that they knew they would be sure fire winners if I was to discover them under the tree this year.
I mentioned both before here. First is the Foreo Luna 2 a magic little device that keeps you on point when it comes to your skin cleansing routine. I’ve only used it a few times but I’m already besotted and I’m very sure there will be a thorough review done in the not too distant future, so watch this space!
The other exciting beauty instalment was the Sarah Chapman Power A Renewal System, a 10-day pre-event box of wonder which is meant to have your skin looking it’s very best come day 11.
I’ll be reporting back once I’ve used it, but I reckon if I’d known about this before my wedding it would’ve been part of my pre wedding self-care for sure!!
Himself also got me this awesome lamp for my office (currently being done up!) and I adore it – it’s so cute!
There’s a little cable that fits into the base of it’s head and then on top is a drawn on button, you just give it a couple of taps until the light level has reached what you want (there are different choices) and then tap again to turn it off. The craftsmanship is stunning.
Simple yet beautiful! Next up is from my folks again – cause they were clearly in a spoiling mood – my current go-to make up brand is It-Cosmetics, I wear the lightest shade for both the foundation and concealer and I think it’s some of the best make-up I’ve ever tried <- big statement, but it’s the truth!
I train at the gym 5 days a week and on 3 of those days my friend Sarah (previously here, here and here) joins me, afterwards we inevitable end up in Starbucks and have had many conversations about the guilt of disposable cups that we go through. I borrowed a reusable coffee cup from my Mom, but it was only a loan and I was saying to Sarah I’d really have to look into getting a good one for myself
Well didn’t she do the leg work for me!?! A glass coffee Mug with a soft top and cork middle – it’s perfect and is already washed and ready to be put to good use after our next gym session.
I hope you had a truly wonderful Christmas surrounded by loved ones.
If you didn’t, I’m so sorry but stay strong and remember:
This too shall pass
