Christmas Gift Guide 2018: For Himself

Happy Friday folks!! I couldn’t leave this week without including the Him’s of the world in one of my Christmas Gift Guides (see the other guides here, here, here and here). When shopping for the Male species, I am of the opinion that they’re not too tricky a sort to buy for, but I appear to be in the minority here as I know many of you are struggling when searching for your significant other, your Dad and your friends. So I hope this list helps you out and gets the cogs churning!!

Christmas Gift Guide 2018: For Himself

1) A Posh Pair Of Oxford Shoes

The most expensive option on the list this year are these beautiful Oxford shoes by Churches, but a good shoe for any fella is an asset and worth considering if you’re looking to splash out on one major gift this year. Just make sure you have a gift receipt incase they need a different size – dress shoes fit very differently to your run of the mill converse!

2) Hermès Tie

I have gifted Himself a few Hermès ties in the past and they have always gone down a treat. Another decadent option, but if the Mr. you’re buying for frequents a suit more often than not, he should be sporting a tie that elevates his look and makes him feel good.

3) Perfume

Who doesn’t love a good smelling person? Tom Ford does it best in this department (I have decided!) and this particular scent is divine and well worth your attention.

4) Gloves

How gorgeous are these? I love the bold colour, so often gloves are either black or brown and whilst I do understand why, women’s gloves can be found in every colour of the rainbow, it’s about time men started having more colour options and I think these are a beauty.

5) Rose-Gold Plated Cufflinks

These cufflinks are very special, I love the design and for the fella in your life who loves to know how things work, this is a lovely way to nod to that fact on fancier occasions.

6) Fun Socks

Himself LOVES this brand – he’s actually got a bit of a name for himself in his office for cool socks. I would usually steer away from buying socks at Christmas for men because it’s a bit cliché, however, when they look this good (and you can opt for Christmas packaging!) I think anyone would be delighted to open up a box of these! They also sell Women’s & Kids options as well as underwear for men (plus, how cool is this Beatles anniversary set)

7) Bluetooth Speaker

For the man who is always listening – whether it be music, podcasts or talk radio – lets give his poor noggin a break from earpods and treat him to a great speaker for when he’s pottering around the house instead!

8) Shaving Set

There are so many grooming kits out there for men, I don’t know much about this particular brand but they come highly recommended. Just make sure you take into account if the man in question has sensitive skin, this may be ok for some but read the description of ingredients carefully – or perhaps something more like this would suit him better,

9) Kingsman X Smythson Notebook

For the dapper gent who loved the ethos of the Kingsman film franchise, why not treat him to a Smythson Notebook complete with The Kingsman’s emblem and embossed with their motto.

10) Wool-Blend Scarf

A decent scarf he’ll be proud to wear on cold days is a must. This particular one is a stunning colour, I love it but watch out for those allergic or generally irritated by wool – if that’s your guy, check out this fairisle acrylic option instead.

11) Fancy Brolly

This brand do beautiful umbrellas, I would gladly have one of these in our home. They are beautifully crafted, have lots of colour and handle options and you can even add personalisation if you go directly to their site

12) Playstation Voucher

My fella loves his PS4 and I know many other people out there are the very same. Instead of bashing your head against a wall trying to figure out what the newest/coolest game is (Red Dead Redemption 2), give yourself a break and purchase a playstation voucher for them to buy the game THEY actually want. As far as I’m aware – deciding and researching what game to buy next is at least 1/5 of the fun, so give them that fun (unless we’re talking about a child, in which case parental advice should be sought and/or pay attention to the age ratings before you buy something they won’t be allowed play!).

How are we all doing on the Christmas Shopping front? I’m there (or thereabouts!), but I haven’t got a stitch wrapped yet, so that’s my plan for this weekend – what about you?

I love how you made a list of possible Christmas gifts for fathers. My favorite item on this list is the men’s grooming kit, where you also suggested to take note of the male person’s skin sensitivity. I will keep this list in mind and I will head on down to the nearest shopping center to find the right kit for him. Thanks!
