There’s lots you can do to enjoy the Halloween season, but for whatever reason, time and time again it slips past me without me doing all that much about it, I think this started mainly because where we used to live, we didn’t have any tiny’s knocking on our door for “Trick Or Treat” and then before we knew it, it had become a bit of a slippery slope. So! To counteract this general lack of doing anything, I’ve tried to integrate a few of the below to make Halloween a bit more – well – Halloweeney! Why not join me in working at least 1 of these activities into your calendar this year?!
Go To A Fancy Dress Party
Always fun and as you can see with my Sandy from Grease costume above (poor picture quality I know, but we didn’t have a lot of time!!), where dressing up is concerned, you really don’t need much to make it work! I had less than 24hours notice about this Halloween party and threw this look together as well as one for Himself too.
I got him to wear his suit and a superman tee underneath and pinned it open with his tie over his shoulder (also pinned) so it looked like he was running to get changed (ended up winning him the “Best Dressed” prize at the Blog Awards last year, which just goes to show – sometimes it’s the really simple ideas that go over the best!)
Go Pumpkin Picking And Then Carve Them
This is always great craic – Himself and I have only done it a few times, but whilst messy – it’s always been a laugh and a half – well worth doing in my opinion!
Watch Something Halloween-ey
My top choice right now is the Netflix original series, “Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina”. It skates that fine line between super scary (hello, “The Haunting Of Hill House”) and comic book/tv show – basically, if you like Riverdale, you’ll like this – scouts honour!
Enjoy The Fireworks
In the event that you’re not up for heading outside then don’t! Instead stay in, wrap up cosy in lots of blankets and whilst you sip on some luxurious hot chocolate – have a goo out the window every now and then to enjoy those fireworks set off by your friendly neighbours – worked a treat for us last year!
What are your favourite things to do at Halloween?
This is such a lovely list Hun! And I love going to fancy dress parties at Halloweeeeen 🙂
