Kildare Village

Last weekend, Himself and I got up bright and early and drove to Kildare Village for a wander and a browse. For those who aren’t familiar, Kildare Village is an outlet shopping centre, home to luxury fashion with up to 60% off – if you’re in the UK, think Bicester Village.

Kildare Village

Whenever we visit, my first stop has to be Starbucks – one of the largest and prettiest I’ve ever been in. I ordered my usual – soy, vanilla latte – and it was perfectly yum and highly needed as, now that the weather has turned here in Ireland, it is quite chilly and Kildare Village is relatively exposed, so a decent amount of layering would definitely be in your favour should you be visiting in the not-too-distant-future!

Kildare Village

I highly recommend arriving at Kildare Village not long after it opens in the morning, because as you can see from the next photo, you will pretty much have the place to yourself!

Kildare Village

Which is JUST how I like it!!

Kildare Village

First up, we headed into Anya Hindmarch and I fell head over heels for these beauties

Kildare Village

The soft velvet in that inky blue colour combined with the smooth leathered heel works in perfect juxtaposition and as for the glittery egg? Forget about it, I was all for them! Having said that, I didn’t purchase due to the fact that this is the WRONG time of year to buy shoes like this – no matter how much I would spray them to protect against the elements, there’s no doubt, they’d get wrecked, so best not.

Kildare Village

Rituals is a “new to me” store and oh my days did I love it!

Kildare Village

First of all, usually smelly shops give me a real headache (I’m looking at you Lush!) and I always say “I don’t know how people can work here with such a powerful smell all the time”, whereas Rituals was quite the opposite effect, I could’ve stayed for hours, it was actually like walking into a spa!

Kildare Village

One of their bestsellers is this foaming shower gel and having tried it out, I understand why! The gel, once in contact with water expands into a fluffy white cloud that smells delicious – calming and luxurious all at once – definitely a product I would recommend for those who want the luxury of a bath, without having to actually sit in one!

Kildare Village

They also have an excellent range for men that Himself floated over to and I was rocked to see him pick up several products – he’ll use lovely products – but he won’t often buy them for himself, so to see him select them was quite a tick in the pro column for Rituals in my book!

Kildare Village

They also have their own make up line, but I decided to leave that for another day as I’d already picked up quite a few bits (trialling them at the moment, shall share more when I’ve put them through their paces!!)

Kildare Village

Weighed down with new products, we headed out the door to be pulled up short due to the incredible scent of freshly made doughnuts…

Kildare Village

…well in all fairness what would YOU have done!?!

Kildare Village

We got 3 rings for €5 and our topping choices were raspberry jam, cinnamon sugar and salted caramel. They were delicious!

Kildare Village

There are a good few other foodie spots in Kildare Village dotted around the place, I haven’t made it to all of them yet, but next up will definitely be Bite of China, mainly because it just looked so inviting when it was closed, so imagine what it’d be like when it’s open!!

Kildare Village

We perused many of the stores, including (but not limited to!), Prada, Le Creuset, Links Of London, Nike, Ted Baker, Coach, Michael Kors and Villeroy & Boch

Kildare Village

Before the Saturday lunchtime crowd swallowed us up whole, we decided to head back home, our car weighed down just a little and our wallets lightened up just a little

Kildare Village

I have so much love for Kildare Village, whether it’s strolling around with Himself or executing a military precision style shopping spree with Mom, I always leave feeling very happy to have been out in the elements for a few hours, looking at gorgeous things and maybe even taking one or two of them home with me too!

Hi Rachael, I hope you do visit the UK one day, it’s a fantastic place to explore and personally I’d love to got to Bicester Village! If you’re looking to visit Kildare Village though, you’ll have to take another plane ride to Ireland, as we’re not in the UK ๐Ÿ™‚
