I tend to keep it very simple the majority of the time, but every now and then a piece creeps in that steals my heart, today I’m going to share a few of those pieces with you.

Earrings: Dior Tribals

Oh my gosh, my poor Himself had to listen to me chatting about these for MONTHS before I actually bought them and even then, when we got into the store and I saw them in person (not for the first time I might add), I was all “do they suit me though?” and he was like “YES. BUY THEM NOW PLEASE” – poor fella – I do put him through the ringer sometimes! But I truly adore them and whenever I wear them I feel elevated, confident and dare I say it – stylish! You can wear them either with the pearl at the front, or (as they were officially designed to be worn) with the CD to the front – this is how I wear them.

Pendant: 3d Coin

In August whilst in Portugal I visited the market just outside Quarteira which I’d not been to in years. I spotted this piece and fell head over heels. They say nothing makes you more patriotic than leaving home for a time and I can totally relate. Living in England for 11 years really made me VERY Irish, so even now when I’ve lived back home for a year (to the day today!), when I see something unique and Irish – I’m definitely getting involved! For those who don’t know, this is an old Irish coin, a threepence piece which has been hand sawn so that only the hare and it’s value have been left (on the back you can still see bits of the harp which would’ve been the tails side). I haven’t taken it off since and have received so many compliments and questions about it, a true conversation starter – and I do love a good chat!

Bracelet: Green Beads

This was gifted to me by my friend Sarah many years ago and I absolutely adore it for it’s delicate nature as well as it’s uniqueness. I’m not saying there aren’t many versions of this piece out there, but I can’t say I’ve ever seen one quite like this it and again, it’s more about how it make me feel when I wear it than anything else, also the fact that she chose green for me so that it would pair well with this next piece – makes it even more special due to the thoughtfulness behind it!

Ring: Emerald & Diamond

Apart from my beautiful engagement ring, wedding ring and this necklace, this is my most treasured piece of jewellery, gifted to me by my parents as a graduation and 21st Birthday double whammy present. I had the pleasure of designing it myself which was a totally new experience for me and one that I really loved. The band is actually gold, but I had it dipped many years ago as I wasn’t wearing gold at that time, however, as I’ve gotten older, I’ve found myself wearing more gold – so I’m trying to wear it more often so that the gold will reappear!!
