My Mother is a CHAMPION gift wrapper, so I’ve learnt from the best, although I’m definitely not to her standard yet – but each year I do try and get a little better!
My favourite way to wrap gifts of late is pretty rustic for adults and very colourful and bright for the kids – both only require 4 “ingredients” so stick around because learning how to wrap like a boss this Christmas is far easier than you think!
INGREDIENTS
Paper (either designed or plain)
Ribbon
Sellotape
Scissors
DIRECTIONS
Place the item to be wrapped on top of your open roll of paper, fold over to check you have enough, then cut (measure twice, cut once people!)
Place a 2″ piece of sellotape in the centre
Next, move to one end, fold the top downwards and sharpen each side by pinching along the naturally created edge and fold inwards to form a point
then take the final flap, pull up and tape closed
Complete same steps for the other side.
Tie up with a beautiful bow and add a tag, or – if your penmanship is on point – why not fancily write their name on the box? Cute and you’ll cut down on that extra bit of paper, so it’s win/win! Get a few friends to follow suit and you’ll be saving trees left right and centre!!
What’s your favourite way to wrap presents at Christmas?
Don’t forget to share this with your friends and pin it for later!!
Fun post, it was great to read your tips! I’m getting better each year at wrapping too, my top tip would be not to use too much wrapping for each gift, it often comes out neater if you have just enough. I love Christmas wrapping, it gets me in the festive mood!! 🙂 xx
