How To Make A Christmas Eve Box

Last year (for the first time) I made Himself and I a Christmas Eve box and it was the BEST thing ever!

How To Make A Christmas Eve Box

If you’re thinking about making up your own this year, I recommend purchasing a flatpack box so that it’s easy to store from year to year – I went with this one

Christmas Eve Box

Yes, I did go for the kids design – but you know what – I totally stand by it!

Christmas Eve Box

Packed inside were two sets of brand new pyjamas (his were Star Wars, mine were Fair Isle), dip-dabs (because YUM), a cracker each to kick start the festivities as well as a christmas story to read before bed

I also created a Santa Certificate for each of us, so we knew for certainty that we had made it onto Santa’s official NICE list (Himself says I have too much time on my hands….!)

Christmas Eve Box

I bought a Christmas print jar, filled it with hot chocolate powder, mini marshmallows and tied it up in a bow with two peppermint candy canes and a mini bottle of Jack Daniels (because boozy hot chocs are the best hot chocs!)

Christmas Eve Box

I also decided to add a movie clue which related to the Christmas movie we would watch that evening – can you guess the movie?

Christmas Eve Box

No? What about if you see it in action?

Still no? Oh dear – well it’s this one – also known as LITERALLY one of the best Christmas movies ever!!

And well, if you’re going to watch a movie, there’s just got to be a popcorn and minstrel mix! So I added them into the box too

Christmas Eve Box

To be fair though – I think our favourite was the boozy hot choc – it was just scrumptious!

Sitting down with your loved ones and enjoying the joy of a Christmas Eve Box is some of the best Hygge you’re sure to experience this festive season, I urge you to give it a go this year, even if it’s not something you’d ever thought of before, I just know you’ll love it!!

I made my first Christmas Eve boxes last year for my family – very similar to yours and they loved them. Definitely a lovely way to kick off the festivities and will be something we carry on every year 🎁🎁🎁

I totally agree Louise! We adored it last year and like yourselves, it’ll definitely be a tradition to continue!

I love this! Might steal the boozy hot chocolate idea! It’s inspired me to make a little box for my family for us to have at Christmas!
