To celebrate our anniversary this year, we booked in for breakfast at Powerscourt Hotel before heading off to a family event in Fermanagh
We have always loved this hotel, which is why when it came time to decide on our wedding venue, there was no question where it would be
We were welcomed back with open arms and enjoyed the most delicious breakfast. They have every breakfast food you could possibly be looking for, even a pancake machine!
We kept things simple enough with tea, coffee, juice, a fry….pancakes, pastry, fruit, honecomb, you know, your average meal!! 😉
Afterwards we went for a stroll around the grounds, hand-in-hand, reminiscing about our big day and looking forward to the weekend ahead too!

Powerscourt is just stunning in the sunshine
I can’t wait to stay here again – hopefully sooner rather than later!
For Himself’s pressie, I went to Hermès in Belgravia and selected a beautiful silk tie to add to his collection
adorned with one of their iconic H prints, in the softest pink
Thankfully he loves it – so yay!
But we need to take a moment here – would you just look at what my hero of a Husband arranged for me as my anniversary gift?!
This stunning piece of art was created by Tipperary Fashion Illustration artist Jane Ryan, Jane’s work has been published in Vogue Australia, Image and Tatler magazine. Himself sent Jane photos of me from our big day (and highlighted that the shoes were important!) and she created this beauty
I was totally overwhelmed with how beautiful the piece was, Himself knows how much I love fashion illustrations (hello Instagram, thank you for supplying me with numerous works to look at!) but to have one of me on our wedding day was above and beyond – he’s really rather a good egg isn’t he?
After emailing Jane recently to ask if I could share my illustration here on the blog with you all, she told me something so cool! Jane provides a service whereby she sketches your wedding party/female guests on the day – how awesome is that!?!
If you’re in the market for a fashion illustrator for a commission or a party, Himself and I couldn’t recommend Jane more. According to Himself, Jane was a dream to work with and for me, the fact that she included my Mom’s bracelet in the sketch without even being told of it’s significance shows you how sharp Janes attention to detail is! I cannot wait to frame this piece and have it on our wall where I can see it everyday!
