A couple of weeks ago I was invited to the launch of the new DFS collection for urban spaces and quite simply I was blown away
Thankfully, the babes over at DFS understand that just because you live in a one bed flat, up a steep set of stairs doesn’t mean you should have to limit your artistic endeavours or love of colour!
So they’ve brought us a collection that will actually fit into and out of, our smaller spaces with panache! Each piece is available in 45 fabric/colour options, so you can easily create your ideal look – whatever that may be!
They all come with different feet options, copper (hello rose gold – ARE YA WELL? CAUSE YOU’RE LOOKIN’ WELL!), nickel, washed oak and dark and you can pick whichever you like at no extra cost – which I’ve got to say, I was very impressed by
Speaking of cost, that’s quite great too, their couches start at £399, armchairs at £299 and footstools at £99, but as they all come with the DFS 15 year guarantee, you’re pretty golden!
There were two things in particular I was thinking about for DAYS after the event, the hexagon pouffe (seen in the first photo), LOVE. IT! But also, the prints on display, especially when it came to the cushions. I’ve never been one to focus on cushions, but how DFS have changed me! I mentioned this at the event and was excitedly told that they were actually created by a student about to graduate from Nottingham Trent University, how great is that?!
I think it’s amazing that a brand as large as DFS are taking such an interest in not only championing but nurturing new talent as well – more of this please!
I brought Himself along with me and the below style was a real winner for him (all 6ft 3″ of him was drawn to the idea of being able to sprawl), a cool feature is that you can move the chaise to either side (cue a war), although I’d definitely put my foot down against such a dark colour!
The below set up is far more my speed!
I also quite fancy these lemon cushion covers as I think they’d be perfect to brighten up our little balcony and give it a real summery feel
I’m tellin’ ya, our current and much loved couch is from DFS but this collection has totally turned my head, I’ve already earmarked a couple of pieces for the next time we move – I’ll be making a call to DFS with a shopping list of items as long as my arm!
The Capsule Collection is available online here and personally I think you’re going to love it!
I love the look of the collection, your photos are awesome as well! x

I love all the block colours and patterned cushions – it’s kind of retro modern and just beautiful (as are your photos!). I recently got a couch with a chaise and the fella and myself end up squidged on it as we both want our feet up haha!
