Manolo Blahnik Sale

The greatest stroke of luck that occurred whilst we were on Honeymoon was the morning we went to visit the Manolo Blahnik store

When I was last at the West 54th Street store, it was empty, I had the place to myself, so when we arrived and I saw a big queue I was quite shocked

And it was snowing…! I was kept warm though, cause my favourite fella, strolled off and got me a cup of coffee (isn’t he good?!), his absence gave me time to get up to speed on why there were so many people around from the woman queuing in front of me. She explained that this was the first day of the 75% off sale!

The look on her face when she realised I was there, that early, on the sale day by sheer, dumb luck and not at all on purpose – was priceless!

After about 30mins, it was our turn to go in. The security detail at the door was really strict with a “one out, one in” policy, which was fair enough seeing as it’s such a small space.

Once through the door, it was madness, I was surrounded by several people who were doing their best to buy up the entire stores contents, like in this photo below, that was ONE woman’s haul (I hope she was getting a taxi and not trying to walk the streets of NY with all those bags!!)

Thankfully, I was saved from the madness by an absolute gem of a saleswoman called Tracy Ebeyer who spotted me, looked after me and helped me get the right fit for the shoes I wanted. She gave me her card before I left and I swear, if she is still working there when I am next in New York, I’m making a beeline for her and I recommend you guys ask for her if you’re visiting too, Tracy will look after you – she’s awesome!

^ Yes kids, there are three shoe boxes in that bag!! I got the three of them for the price of one regularly priced pair – thank you sale day!

Keep your peepers on the look out for this years sale if you’re in the neighbourhood, exact date TBC, but most likely early Feb and please be lovely to Tracy and the team – some shoppers this year displayed unparalleled rudeness, I couldn’t believe some of the comments – although I know you guys would always be lovely eggs!!

Show and tell time: Look at these beauties, perfect for jazzing up a work outfit and being able to transition easily to an evening look. Over the past few years, I’ve really come around to fancy statement flats, I think it’s so important to invest in a few great pairs so that you have the option to give your tootsies a break from heels – and you guys know how much I love my heels!

*Ahem hem* Speaking of… I got myself a pair of Barbies, I adore these patent fuchsia heels, approximately 4.5″ and complete beauties!

Last but by no means least, my Mary Poppins booties. Anytime I wear these, I get multiple compliments and questions about where they’re from (you may recognise them from this post)

Visiting Manolo Blahnik is always a joy, but on this trip – it was extra specially joyful!
