“Fumoir” means “Smoking Room” – “The Fumoir” means “one of the top bars in Mayfair” which just so happens to be in Claridge’s Hotel, which is where we headed next!
Living up to what had been said earlier, I ordered another Cosmo while enjoying our continued theme of art deco surroundings
Sarah and Claire-Louise got adventurous with the menu – don’t ask me what it was because all I heard from the girls was that it was tasty and too cold to hold for too long!
Vicky went for a Whiskey – ’cause she’s a badass (it would keep you warm even if you were standing at the coldest place on earth!)
We gave Jess and Vicky their Hen Party bags and Vick took it as an invitation/challenge to put everything on all at once!
The chats were mighty, as they had been all evening, but soon it was time to make our way out for a boogie. Mom decided to take her bow at this stage (I say again, wise woman!) while the rest of us headed back into the night towards Strawberry Moons
Now I know what you’re thinking, it’s not exactly “in keeping” with our art deco / 1920’s sophisticated theme, but after all that fanciness, all we wanted was to have a good oul dance and a loud sing-a-long and at Strawberry Moons, that is exactly what you get!
Plus, they have a really awesome light up wall
Our time in Strawberry Moons was brilliant, silly and downright fun! I’d take a sing-a-long to Britney’s “Baby one more time” over head banger music any day – we even performed some original choreography from the video – cause you know, that’s how we roll!
After much merriment on the dance floor, we had a little something to quench our thirst….and then decided to call it a night…morning?
Back at Claridge’s it was just Sarah, Claire-Louise and myself left and on arrival to our temporary home we found it quite empty
With the place to ourselves, there really was only one thing to do
Claire-Louise’s fella collected her and after saying our goodbyes, we got into our comfy slippers and did what any sane people would do – ordered room service! Then it was off to the land of slumber as we were due up bright and early on Sunday morning for the last part of the Bridal Shower – Breakfast!
Top Tip: Do me a favour, ALWAYS TAKE YOUR MAKE UP OFF! The idea of leaving it on overnight makes my skin crawl – always take it off and always moisturise. It doesn’t have to be your normal process if it’s lengthy, but at the very least, use make up remover wipes and a splodge of face cream – you’ll thank me in the morning when you’re feeling all bright eyed!
Wow do Claridge’s know how to do breakfast!
Every element has been thought of and catered for. We were offered complimentary pastries which we shared so that everyone got to try a bit of everything and then we ordered the lot! Teas, juices, coffees, toast and full english breakfasts!
Apart from Mom who put us all to shame and had a beautiful fruit plate with a side of yoghurt instead
Lauren hadn’t been able to make Saturday’s activities so she met us in Claridge’s for breakfast, it was so great to have her there to celebrate and for a proper chin wag and catch up!
We gave Lauren her Hen Party bag and immediately this happened (yes, Lauren and Vicky do know each other – very well infact!)
With a final fairwell to our luxurious hotel room, we gathered up our belongings and headed downstairs
Mom suggested we have one last *clink before Sarah (last lady standing) had to head to the airport, so we popped into Claridge’s Bar which sits opposite The Fumoir in the foyer of the hotel
With a final *pop and a *clink we toasted to a fabulously successful and wonderful weekend
Thank you to all of the ladies who made it so special
Lots of love
