The other day I met up with my lovely friend Jess for a spot of tea….and pancakes!
Jess and I met back in 2012 as dancers in the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games – an amazing experience and one that I am very grateful for. We had lots to catch up on, so our lunch ended up being a three hour long extravaganza!
I’d never been to My Old Dutch before, but Jess assured me it was a place I had to try
I went for the Eggs Florentine with onion and spinach. Thankfully I had rocked up to My Old Dutch with a very hungry tum – cause this pancake was huge! It was very tasty, but far too heavy for me – I probably would’ve been better off trying their Gluten free pancake, as they are a lot thinner, as it was, I only made it half way through this one
Jess did go for the Gluten free option with sun dried tomatos and loved it!
I really like the decor – very “Hey Sailor!”
Just before we left we decided to indulge one more time by sharing their gluten free pancake dusted with icing sugar and served with three lemon chuncks – a true classic, definitely my favourite!
If you’re a pancake lover, get yourself to Holborn to My Old Dutch and chow down – next time, I’m definitely skipping the savoury and heading straight for the sweet – not judgements here!!
