With the end of holidays drawing ever near, my Mom, Sister and I decided to have a girly brunch together in The InterContinental Hotel in Dublin (previously The Four Seasons Hotel)
Mom and I were up and out of the house early to head to Mink Hand & Foot Spa located in Ballsbridge
We were pampered to the max indulging in Rose Petal and Mint Manicures with Artistic Gloss (60mins) which included hand, arm, shoulder, neck and head massages as well as a paraffin wax dip for our paws. I only started getting Artistic Gloss manicures recently and I can’t even begin to tell you the sheer JOY of not being worried that I’m seconds away from smudging it once I leave the chair! I went for a dark burgundy colour which I’m delighted with as I’ve been wearing a bright Christmas red all season – it’s always nice for a bit of a change!
Next we hopped up into their luxurious pedicure chairs and settled back for 75mins of bliss. We went for the Bamboo & Argan Purifying Pedicure where you’re treated to a sugar cane and bamboo scrub to prep skin for an invigorating masque packed with Acai to penetrate moisture into our tired tootsies – I promise it was exactly as good as it sounds!
We shuffled our flip flops from Mink to the car and then drove the few mins to the InterContinental Hotel and settled by the fire for lunch
While we perused the menu we sipped on ice cold Champagne and chatted about everything – including my hen (Bachelorette party for those of you lovelies who are State Side!)
We all opted for the Caesar Salad and it most certainly did not disappoint, everything was beautifully prepared and we all dug in without hesitation
Wowza – the sides were epic. I ordered the onion rings and the others opted for the cooked-three-ways fries. It was all super tasty, but over the last few years I feel I have become somewhat of an onion ring connoisseur and these were the best! THE BEST!
After we devoured everything, we rounded out our chat with some green tea which arrived with a lemon and poppyseed bite sized cookie each – nom!
I’m really going to miss my family when I head back to the big smoke of London town, however, it’s been brilliant and I was so delighted to get to spend some time with the female contingent of our growing family!
