Oh yes, we’re going there!
This year, with everything else we have going on, I’m starting the present shopping early. Mini presents which will really stuff those stockings come Christmas Day for friends, family and loved ones are key! I thought I’d share my top items with you (I take thank yous in the form of Christian Louboutins size 5 heels!) 😉
Botanical Shine Nourishing Hair Oil by Liz Earle
Wow, where to start? When Liz Earle sent me this stuff to try, I was eager because, well, you all know from Chez Earle how much I love the brand already! They could send me toothpicks and I’m sure they’d be the best around! But this is something a bit special. Run some of this magic potion through your hair paying special attention to the ends and behold your gorgeous locks!
With protection against heat damage whilst styling and adding a natural looking gloss too, your hair will be the talk of the Christmas party season! The serum really helps hair to stay hydrated during the Winter elements, so for me, this product is definitely one to get your paws on for yourself, your kin, and in all fairness, at £15.00 for such an amazing product, you’re onto a winner!
Homemade Goodies
Don’t underestimate the power of homemade goodness, why not whip up some Christmas Ginger Bread Cookies or some Oat and Caramel bars – just wrap in cellophane, decorate with green and red ribbon and hand out to your nearest and dearest. Got someone who is a massive chocolate fan? They’ll devour these Bad Boys and why not make them a bit more Christmassy by adding some snowmen on top with piped butter cream icing? (Oat and Caramel bars caught your eye have they? Don’t worry, recipe coming soon!)
Max Benjamin Candle
They just smell SO good – you really can’t go wrong
My favourite at the moment is the His & Her candle set (a lovely gift given to us from a family member when we got engaged) which are designed to be lit at the same time!
Books
Growing up at home, it was common knowledge that Santa Claus himself had declared books “the best gift you can give” from his sleigh with Rudolf nodding along in agreement. Christmas wasn’t Christmas until every family member had been found reading a new book beside the fire.
So while taking a walk with himself yesterday, I just had to have a nose into Waterstones and I found among the stacks, this little gem. As it says on the tin, it’s a book of three P.L. Travers stories which she wrote for various friends and family as Christmas presents.
I’ve already devoured it myself and think it would make a wonderful addition to anyones stocking this Christmas. With stunning illustrations from Gillian Tyler which bring you right into the heart of P.L. Travers’ childhood, it’s perfect for any Mary Poppins fans young or old – plus, with beautiful writing, that gorgeous red cover and it being a perfect size for a stocking, how could you possibly not buy it this Christmas?!
That’s it for today lovelies, I’ll be back again soon with some more helpful ideas for you to stuff those stockings with this Christmas! Got any ideas I need to know about? Do tell in the comments section below!
