Christmas Eve

Today has been filled with food prep, red lippy, mini mince pies and lots of laughter!

Mom has outdone herself this year – our house looks amazing! Each and every room is beautifully decorated

This fella is without doubt my personal favourite!

He’s so dapper! Guarding the house – while looking like a boss!

He has button bling!

I digress – by 9am we were full steam ahead

Mom’s homemade cranberry sauce smelled divine with orange zest and cinnamon wafting all around the house

Lots and lots of parsley was chopped up for inclusion in both the homemade pâté and the stuffing

BEST. PÂTÉ. EVER – NOM!

(my die hard love for Le Creuset started at home – the apple most definitely does not fall far from the tree!)

Next I moved onto thyme business (which made a massacre of my manicure!) while Mom finished off the homemade soup

Sammy turned up and pretended she was just having a scratch and NOT AT ALL trying to get into the kitchen…she swears!

My last job was to get to work on a christmas treat for the family, but this time I made it with fruit and nuts (I know, totally pushing the boat out!)

In the evening, I threw on some re lippy and headed over to The Radisson Hotel to meet my bestie Sarah to have a chat, a clink and swap gifts

The place was jammers!

It was festive and full of families and friends getting together to celebrate with a glass of bubbles and some cheer!

Isn’t she just delighted with life! Great company so she is!

We were there to indulge quite thoroughly and therefore decided a plate of mini mince pies was the only way to go! They were so tasty and melted in your mouth – just perfect!

While my birthday was in September, Sarah decided to wait until Christmas to give me my birthday pressie – which is totally fine with me – double whamming at Christmas?! Yes please and thank you much!!

How brilliant is this t-shirt she got me?! I absolutely love it, can’t wait to rock it at the gym!

For Christmas, Sarah got me “Vogue the gown” by Jo Ellison – I nearly cried, I’ve had my eye on this for a few weeks now and I was over the moon when I unwrapped it, several squeals were audible over the Christmas chatter

You know how sometimes it hits you just how well your bestie truly knows you? This, was one of those times!

After clincking with some Sprite in Champagne glasses (we were both driving!) we turned to coffee, a latte for me and an Americano for Sarah

With a quick snap and a squdge, we said our Au Revoirs and headed off into the chilly air to our respective next stops

I’m only in the door now after my last stop – but I’m a girl with my priorities in order, Santa will be pleased – grub on the run: mince pie with a milk shot chaser (yes that is actually a shot glass) and an apple for Rudolf (one can only eat so many carrots!)
